Respect My Stuff is a volunteer-driven charity. Our mission is simple. We provide young people entering foster care in Doncaster with a bag. Along with basic essentials and comfort items, this makes their transition into the foster care system and their circumstances just a little bit easier.
The Problem
In many cases when children leave a home to enter care it has been the case of gather your stuff and let’s go. We seek to ease the impact of this traumatic experience by providing some essential and comforting items they can call their own. The last thing anyone would want is to have to carry your own stuff around in a bin liner.

recently reported that there is a record number of children in care as social services reach ‘tipping point’. Figures show that nationally on average 90 young people a day enter the care system, the highest levels over the last 7 years.
